Billing

1.

Meter reading of Electricity & Water.

Once in every month on a Scheduled date.

2.

Issue of Electricity/Water bills.

Monthly/Bi-monthly.

3.

Issue of duplicate bills.

On request (the same day).

4.

Complaints made on personal visit
regarding billing will be sorted out.

Seven working days.

5.

Final reply to the consumer.

Within 15 working days.

Defective Meters

1.

Testing of  defective  electric & water meter

Within 7 days after deposit of fee

2.

Communication of testing result to
consumer

Within 7 days after testing

3.

Replacement of defective electric & water meter

Within 15 days of receipt of request from consumer or before the next reading rounds by Electricity department & water department

Complaints

1.

Redressal of Grievance relating to billing & bills corrections by Sr. AO (Billing)

Every day between 3.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

2.

Complaints/Enquiries will be attended personally by ACOs and Assistant Secy. (Rates)

Every day between 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

3.

Attending to complaints by EE(Commercial)/ AEE(Commercial)

Between 3.00 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. on all working days.

4.

Redressal of grievances of consumers by Director (Commercial)

Between 3.00 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. on all working days.

Miscellaneous

1.

Disconnection of electricity/water
meter on the request of the consumer for Govt. Flats/Others

Within three working days of receipt of application.

2.

Issue of prefinal current bill.

Within 2 days of disconnection of supply.

3.

Issue of disconnection slip.

On the day the current payment is made through Draft or Cash.

4.

Issue of "No Demand Certificate".

After 2 days of deposit of final bill from Sr. AO (Billing)

5.

Refund of security.

With 10 days of issue of 'No dues' certificate by Sr. AO (Commercial)

6.

Restoration of Electricity/Water supply.

Within 3 days after clearing of outstanding dues and payment of restoration charges.

7.

Payments

Consumers are advised to clear their bills by due date to aprotected void levy of surcharge.
