5.1.7.1.5 Digital Library
Thirteen Digital Libraries have been setup by renovating the libraries of the
NDMC/Navyug schools. These Digital Libraries have been provided with up-
to-date civil and electric infrastructure, latest furniture along with All-in-One
Computers, Amazon Kindles, bar-code printers, bar-code scanners, 8 Mbps
broadband connection and NIC e-library software. These 13 libraries are fully
functional and being used by students and teachers regularly and having a
positive impact on the reading habit of the students.
In the session 2018-2019 the department initiated the propose to set up digital
libraries in the remaining 14 secondary and senior secondary schools. The
process for establishing these 14 library is in final stage. The library will be
fully functional by the beginning of academic 2019-2020 session.
5.1.7.1.6 School Management Information System
To bring automation in NDMC schools, Student Achievement Tracking
System (SATS), has been launched on 01.10.2018 with modules such as
Student Management, Teacher Management, School Infrastructure,
Examination etc. for all NDMC / Navyug Schools with fully functional SMS
gateway.
It is proposed that during the year 2019-20, paperless attendance of students,
auto generated report card, integration of biometric attendance of the staff
with SATS, online home work and assignments, and many other online
functionalities will be introduced.
The outcome and expected deliveries through Implementation of School MIS
are low dependence on paper work, increase in productivity of processes,
personnel and increase in control on overall aspects of school management.
School MIS will help teachers to pay more individual attention tostudents and
also to pay for time academic activities, thus furthering the excellence of
NDMC/Navyug school in education.
5.1.7.2 For Training of Teachers and their capacity building, I propose the
