6.2.5 I propose to allocate a sum of Rs. 148.59 crore for water supply
work, of which Rs.6.58 crore will be expenditure of capital nature.

6.3 Sewer Management

6.3.1 The following major works relating to strengthening of sewerage
network and its treatment were executed during 2018-2019:
(i) 2 Nos. Jetting-cum-Suction Sewer Cleaning Machines with Water
Recycling Technology for seven years have been hired for cleaning of
sewer lines without manual intervention;
(ii) 4 nos. small size machines have been hired for cleaning / de-silting of
manholes;
(iii) One Sewerage Treatment Plants (STP) using Phytorid Technology has
been installed at N. P. Girls Senior Secondary School, Gole Market in
consultation with CSIR-NEERI;
(iv) 9 decentralized STPs of 100 KLD to 500 KLD capacity with total
capacity of 2670 KLD have been installed under PPP model for a
period of 12 years, wherein the quality and quantity of treated water is
the criteria for making payments to the concessionaire. such treated
water is utilized for horticulture purposes in the NDMC area.

6.3.2 During the year 2019-20, it is proposed to set-up two tertiary
treatment plants under PPP model at Nehru Park and Sanjay Lake Park, so that
the treated water can be utilized for water fountains besides improving the
quality of aquatic flora and fauna in the water bodies in these parks. Further, it
is proposed to set-up two further STPs during the year 2019-20 under PPP
model.

6.3.3 It is proposed to explore the possibility of converting areas around
Kushak Nallah into happening places through treatment of water through
floating wastewater treatment system, and introduction of jogging tracks, open
gym, colourful lights and fountains.

6.3.4 Two Pressure Jetting-cum-Sewer Suction Machine mounted on truck
chassis will be hired for 7 years for keeping up the maintenance of sewer lines
without manual intervention during the year 2019-20. Further, 6 small High
Pressure Jetting-cum-Sewer Suction Machines are proposed to be hired during
