(i) CRRI was earlier engaged for evaluation/recommendation w.r.t.
remaining 25 roads to improve the riding quality of the existing
surface, which were due for resurfacing in the years 2018-19. Since
recommendations received from CRRI was a bit late, the work is
therefore proposed to be taken up during the year 2019-20.
(iii) the condition survey of all the lanes / by-lanes of NDMC area will be
taken up in order to repair / resurfacing during the year 2019-20,
which will further improve riding quality not only on main roads but
also in lane / by-lanes.
6.4.4 NDMC will purchase a pot hole repair machine, which will help in
repairing the pot holes in much faster way and smooth finishing.
6.4.5 In the year 2019-20, I have proposed to allocate a sum of Rs.144.54
crore for roads and pavements. Of this amount, Rs.26.29 crore will be spent
towards capital expenditure.
6.5 Integrated Transit Transport Infrastructure - Redevelopment of
Shivaji Terminal
Tender for the work has been opened and will be placed before the Council for
approval of award of work to L-1 after receiving the approval from DUAC.
6.6 Development of Bapu Samaj Seva Kendra
Work of development of Bapu Samaj Sewa Kendra is in progress and is likely
to be completed by the end of 2019.
6.7 Construction of Commercial Complex at Yashwant Place
For multi storey office complex at Yashwant Place, the Council has accorded
approval amounting Rs. 88.92 Crore. The work is awaiting approval of DUAC
and Fire Department, and work is likely to be started in 2019-20.
6.8 Construction of Mechanical Car Parking
60 ECS capacity mechanical parking at CharakPalika Hospital. The RFP for
the work is at advanced stage of scrutiny. After approval of RFP the tender
will be called and work will be completed during 2019-20.
