6.1.7.6 Lighting of footpath and walkway
To lighten footpath and walkways along the avenue roads, to improve
visibility further, it is proposed to provide warm LED light on the existing
street light poles at a lower height toward footpath and green area.

6.1.8 Tree Highlighter
Avenue trees on roundabouts and at avenues road are proposed to be lit up
with LED highlighters to enhance vibrancy along the roads during the night
time.

6.1.9 Cast Iron Ornamental Street Light Poles
Cast iron heritage ornamental street light poles which get with Architecture of
New Delhi with warm LED lights are proposed to be installed in major
roundabouts.

6.1.10 In the year, I propose to allocate a sum of Rs.1404.81 crore for
electricity department, of which Rs.173.39 crore will be expenditure of capital
nature.

6.2 Water Management

6.2.1 During 2018-2019, the works relating to strengthening water supply
network and enhancing the capacity of water control room were executed,
which included the following:
(i) procurement of 10 Nos. Water Trolleys made of Stainless Steel
Grade-304;

(ii) Shifting of main line and providing metered water connection to every
resident of B.K. Dutt Colony;
(iii) 37 Water ATMs were installed under the EPC Model to provide
quality supply of drinking water to the public at de-centralized
locations thereby addressing the issue of bottled mineral water,
wherein the quality parameters of water are displayed for public
information on real-time basis;
(iv) installed 18 bulk water meters on all inlet water lines from Delhi Jal
Board to various reservoir of NDMC area, which resulted into saving
of expenditure by almost 15.53% on water bill payment to Delhi Jal
Board;
