        6.1.3.3 The action taken so far in the year 2018-19 and proposed in the year
        2019-20, concerning IPDS are as under:-
            (i) M/s L&T Ltd. has completed survey and site inspection of all the
               electric sub-stations included in the IPDS project and drawings have
               been approved for executions. All major equipments and material for
               the  project have been ordered and stage  inspection is presently
               undertaken.

           (ii) First consignment of 110 HT Panels of “Schneider” make has been

               received at  site  and  execution work has started  from 10 January,
               2019. Major part of the work shall be completed in the year 2019-20.
          (iii) Tender for the work of replacement of old HT & LT feeders has been
               finalized and work awarded at  a  total cost  of Rs.47.30  crore  on
               14.11.2018.  The firm has submitted  technicals of material and
               equipments before  starting manufacturing. Major part of the work
               shall be executed in the year  2019-20, and balance  work would be
               completed in the year 2020-21.

        6.1.3.4 Output & Benefits of IPDS Project
        With the implementation of system strengthening works not only there would
        be a capacity addition of 15% equivalent to 150 MVA in the existing capacity
        of 1000 MVA on account of augmentation of the transformers capacities but
        also with the replacement of existing old & life served equipments, the sub-
        transmission & distribution system would be able to sustain & take care of the
        future load growth requirement upto the year 2041, considering the present
        peak load of 475 MVA & projected load growth of nearly 7% per annum.

        6.1.3.5 AMI & SCADA

        6.1.3.5.1 To  provide real  time data on power consumption and  allow
        consumers to make informed choices about energy uses, based on the energy
        price at the Time of Day (ToD), Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) with
        two way communication between the consumer meter, having an IP address
        and NDMC control centre has been undertaken in the year 2018-19. AMI is
        the main constituent of a smart grid, which would make remote meter reading,
        problem identification, load profiling, energy auditing feasible and consist of
        smart meters with communication network and meter data management.
