(i) open drains which remain choked regularly due to throwing of garbage,
which cause spreading of various diseases and create unhygienic
environment to the residents of the jhuggi, be covered;
(ii) to provide hygienic environment to the residents of the jhuggi cluster
and to ensure defecation free NDMC area, I propose for re-development
and augmentation of Community Toilet Units, such as Sanjay Camp
(Upper), Vivekananda Camp, Sangli mess and Anant Ram Dairy etc. in
the year 2019-20 under EPC model as these Community Toilet Units in
slums do not have advertisement potential.

7.8 International Exposure to Grass-root employees
In continuation of the earlier visits of grass root employees to foreign
countries such as China, Singapore, Belgium, South Korea, Japan, a team of
NDMC's grass root employees consisting of safaisevaks, malies, beldars, etc.
will visit China by March, 2019. I propose to continue such foreign exposure
to grass root employees which improves their knowledge and skills and boost
their morale.

7.9 NDMC's Best SafaiSevak, Best Beldar and Best Mali for the year
2018
To recognize the hard efforts made by the employees, awards of NDMC's Best
SafaiSevak, Best Beldar and Best Mali have been started from the year 2018-
19. Smt. Santosh - SafaiSevak (Emp. Code 307455), Sh. Chander - Beldar
(Emp. Code 285173) and Sh. Satish - Mali (Emp. Code 298605) have been
declared as NDMC's Best SafaiSevak, Best Beldar and Best Mali for the year
2018 for their dedication and sincerity towards the works.An appreciation
certificate along with cash prize of Rs.11,000/- will be awarded to each of
these three officials in January, 2019.
