3.4 Digital Experience Centre
NDMC is continuously introducing technology with respect to working, which
makes development an inevitable part of its improvement. I am proposing to
set up a Digital Experience Center in the year 2019 - 20, which will be a
reflection of NDMC’s vision for future. DEC will be a quick preview to the
city’s plan for the present and for the future. The Digital Experience Citizen’s
Center will be a space for spreading awareness among people. It will
showcase the latest technologies available for digitalization in city
management, thus, helping organizations innovate, identify and move into
whitespaces. It will help in maximizing business value by developing and
executing result oriented strategies. It will create superior user experiences by
understanding and empathizing with their needs by providing
technology solutions that are scalable and reliable. The DEC is aimed at
providing clients with a periscope to look beyond the current trends and
prepare for the future in a more informed environment

3.5 High Speed Broadband Service through Fiber to the Home

3.5.1 NDMC’s Smart City Limited has signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) with MTNL to provide very high speed broadband/Wi-
Fi Services on Optical Fiber in Connaught Place (CP) & Central Business
District (CBD) area. The Phase-I of the State-of-the-art Public Wi-Fi
services/FTTH has been successfully implemented under revenue sharing
module in 2018. Under NDMC Smart City Limited and MTNL MoU, it is
proposed to extend the Fiber to Home (FTTH) and Public Wi-Fi services in
other area of NDMC in a phased manner as a part of phase 2 expansions. The
areas identified shall be in clusters mainly focusing on commercial area like
offices, market places/complexes.
