3.13 Electric Vehicles
Depleting air quality and greenhouse gas emissions requires Indian cities –
and particularly New Delhi – to shift from internal combustion engine vehicles
to more environment-friendly but cost-effective transport solutions. The
country is actively exploring cost effective and viable solutions to the problem
of poor air quality in a number of its cities as well as reducing its excessive
dependence on oil imports. The India has announced a significant shift to an
all electric fleet by 2030. In this endeavor, NDMC has procured 32 electric
vehicles (EVs) through EESL.

3.14 Public e-charging stations
NDMC has already established 28 AC and 9 DC charging stations for its
captive use. In the next step, NDMC is envisaging to install public e-charging
stations at convenient places for ease of Electric Vehicle charging for general
public. To achieve this, NDMC has signed an MoU with Energy Efficiency
Services Ltd. (EESL), a company under Ministry of Power for installation of
100 public e-charging facilities in NDMC area. Under this, NDMC will
provide the space at appropriate locations and EESL will bear the upfront cost
and the will share the revenue with NDMC work will be completed by the
March 2019.

3.15 Health ATMs
NDMC has installed a Health ATM at Palika Kendra Dispensary as a Pilot
project. It has automated health screening with integrated devices with
checkup option of over 40 health parameters. The patients can just walk-in to
the Health ATM to get a quick preventive health check-up on prescription
with doctors. Main features of it are basic health check up of body
temperature, BP, Height, weight, Bone Mass and BMI, rapid test option &
Instant test report for epidemic diseases like Dengue, malaria, HIV and
Typhoid, all blood test, haemogram and Lipid profile, various Urine and
Pregnancy test and ECG.I am proposing to install such Health ATMs at
Charak Palika Hospital, Dharam Marg Polyclinic, Palika Maternity Hospital
and TB Polyclinic in the year 2019-20.

3.16 Smart Public Toilet Units and Community Toilet Units

3.16.1 NDMC had taken up construction of 149 public toilet units including
109 Smart Public Hygienic Centre having features like Bank ATM, Water
ATM, Non-invasive body basic vitals testing (ECG, Blood Pressure, Glucose
