(ii) for setting up of Digital Radiography System at Charak Palika
Hospital for better x-rays films with less x-rays exposure to patients,
procurement process is under way through GEM Portal, and tender
has been uploaded again as in first call only one bidder participated in

the tender process in 1 call;
(iii) setting up of (a) Advanced Laparoscopic Set for introduction of
minimal access invasive surgeries (key hole surgeries) that offers
patients faster recovery, (b) Maintenance Haemodialysis Unit, and
(c) modernization of Charak Palika Hospital by equipping it with
equipments such as pulse oximeter, infusion pumps, video
laryngoscope, vein viewer, etc., are under process and tenders for the
same are likely to be floated by March, 2019. A new instrument I-
STAT is in the process of being purchased which will give the blood
hemodynamic and various parameters of the patient with just one drop
of blood, thereby drastically improving patient treatment modality.
This instrument is also of immense importance in the OTs, ICU and
nursery.
(iv) procurement of blood filters has been finalized and is likely to be
available to the public by February, 2019 for the benefit of Thelesmia
Patient.
(v) NABH Accreditation of the NDMC's Dispensaries and MCW Centres
has been granted to all the dispensaries and MCW centres, expect at
Kidwai Nagar and Reading Road Centre. Further, renewal of NABH
accreditation of these dispensaries / MCW centres has been done from
time to time. The process of NABH accreditation of Palika Maternity
Hospital is underway and is likely to be completed soon. Charak
Palika Hospital faces challenge due to shortage of qualified
professionals in specific departments. NDMC is exploring the
possibility of addressing the same by pooling of the Doctors (JRs and
SRs) with other Government of India's Hospitals located in near
vicinity. It is proposed to complete the NABH accreditation of all
remaining Health units such as Charak Palika Hospital, newly set-up
AYUSH / Panchakarma clinics, Dental Clinic at Dharam Marg, etc
during the year 2019-20.

5.3.4 To further improve medical services, following projects would be
undertaken during the year 2019-20.
