(vi) Under 10 Girls Football Team: As a unique sports initiative, three
‘Under 10 Girls Football Teams’ (each team consisting of 30
students) have been constituted at three locations, wherein proper
coaching is provided to these Girls Students.
(vii) Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines: Catering to the personal
Hygiene and overall wellness of girl students, 29 sanitary napkin
vending machines have been installed in all 28 Secondary and Senior
Secondary NDMC / Navyug schools wherein fee compostable
sanitary pads are provided to girl students and composting pits have
been made to dispose of such sanitary pads.
(viii) MOU with Jesus Merry College: A MoU for enriching process
through quality improvement on a sustainable basis in Nagar Palika
Co-Ed. Senior Secondary School, BapuDham has been signed
between JMC and NDMC.
(ix) Base Line Mapping: Two baseline level mapping conducted in 2016-
17. Four baseline level mapping conducted in 2017-18. One baseline
level mapping conducted in 2018-19 after the conclusion of project
Unnati in June, 2018. This led to overall enhancement in reading,
writing and mathematical skills of the students.
(x) Mission Unnati: To improve the learning outcomes of the students of
Class I to IX, Mission Unnati was successfully launched in the month
of April, May and June of the year2018.
(xi) A sport meets of students with disabilities of NDMC / Navyug
Schools along with other schools of Delhi was organized by the
NDMC during the year 2018-19 first time.

(xii) All the schools have been equipped with Biometric Attendance
mechanism, through which availability of staff has been ensured.
(xiii) All Balwaries of NDMC have been upgraded into State-of-the-Art
NDMC Playway Schools

5.1.3 NDMC initiatives have been recognized and appreciated throughout
the country. Even NDMC's Smart Classes project, wherein all classes from VI
to XII have been converted into Smart Classes, has been awarded as Smart
Education Initiative of the Year by the Business World on the occasion of 6 th
Smart Conclave Award on 01.12.2018.
