generation from the evil effect of the internet and mobile phony. I also
propose to introduce Cyber clubs in all our secondary and senior secondary
schools.

5.1.7.5 For creative Learning Environment in Schools, I propose the
following:

5.1.7.5.1 Language Lab
Language has its very high significance in the all round development of a
child and is a vital component of school curriculum. If the language of the
child is improved, his learning outcome will definitely improve. In the year
2018-2019, it was proposed to set up language labs in Navyug School,
Sarojini Nagar and N.P. Bengali Girls Senior Secondary School, Gole Market,
and the process for setting up of these two labs is already underway and is
likely to be completed before March, 2019. Considering the significance of
these labs I propose to introduce two more language labs in our Schools in the
year 2019-20.

5.1.7.5.2 Nature classroom in Schools
Tagore envisioned an education that was deeply rooted in one’s immediate
surroundings but connected to the cultures of the wider world, predicated upon
pleasurable learning and individualized to the personality of the child. He
believed that a curriculum should revolve organically around nature with
classes held in the open air under the trees to provide for a spontaneous
appreciation of the fluidity of the plant and animal kingdoms, and seasonal
changes. Tagore emphasizes the importance of an empathetic sense of
interconnectedness with the surrounding world. Considering this, I propose to
develop one nature based classroom in all NDMC Schools.

5.1.7.5.3 Associating our schools with neighbourhood Garden or Park
A garden or park is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful
watchfulness. Greenery also plays a vital role for making a livable City.
NDMC gardens are among the best in India. To inculcate awareness and to
bring future citizen close to nature, each of the school will be linked with a
neighbouring garden/park. The horticulture staff of these gardens will promote
gardening in the school especially as a hobby and will provide necessary
equipments, plants, compost, pots etc. students in collaboration with
horticulture department will plan and execute to develop these gardens. A
