5.1.7.3.2 Auditorium in Schools
Auditorium plays an important role in creating good academic environment in
schools. In 14 Senior Secondary schools, there are auditoriums in the school
campus. However, these are lacking latest facilities such as auditorium,
chairs, light & sound facilities, to make as a vibrant place of the school. It is
proposed to upgrade the auditoriums located in N P Girls Sr. Sec. School,
Gole Market, Navyug School Sarojini Nagar, N P Co Ed Sr. Sec School,
Kidwai Nagar and N P Boys Senior Secondary School, Mandir Marg. Under
the project, required civil work will be carried out for modification and
modern furniture with good sound system and lighting arrangement will be
provided so that they can be used as a hub of the activities to promote
curricular and extracurricular activities in those schools

5.1.7.3.3 Atal / Palika Tinkering Labs
With a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric
Innovators’, NITI AAYOG under Atal Innovation Mission is establishing Atal
Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in schools across India. The objective of this
scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; and
inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive
learning, physical computing etc. ATL is a work space where young minds
can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode; and learn
innovation skills. In the session 2018-2019, NITI Ayog selected Navyug
School, Sarojini Nagar for setting up of an ATL. In addition, NDMC set up 2
Palika Tinkering Labs on the lines of ATL in 2018-19.

Three more Palika Tinkering, before March 2019, is already underway. To
support and implement the objectives of the Atal Tinkering Labs, it is
proposed to set up Atal/ Palika Tinkering Labs in 10 additional schools
through our own resources in the session 2019-2020.

5.1.7.3.4 Joyful Libraries
NDMC introduced of joyful library in 14 Primary schools in 2017-18. This
year 2 more joyful libraries have been introduced. The idea behind such an
initiative is to provide a warm and inviting environment where children can
discover the world of imagination and knowledge while also improving their
communication skills. The libraries with their aesthetic looks, and rich
