        new courses  in  line with  the  initiatives already taken in the  field of Skill
        Development by NDMC through a Training Partner.

        5.2.5.3 New Skill Development  courses in the field of Financial Services;
        Hospitality Operations, Retail Services,  Travel & Tourism; and Beauty
        Management will be introduced in 2019-20.

        5.3 MEDICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT

        5.3.1  Due to continuous focus and efforts given on improvement of Medical
        Services provided  by NDMC to the public, and through introduction of
        technology to bring transparency and efficiency in the system, I am delighted
        to inform the Council  that the number of OPD patients visiting NDMC's
        hospitals and dispensaries has increased manifold such as:
          (i)  number of OPD patients  visiting Charak Palika Hospital has been
               increased from around 3.94 lakhs in the year 2015  to around 5.32
               lakhs in the year 2018;
          (ii)  number of OPD patients visiting Palika Maternity Hospital has been
               increased from around 0.24 lakhs in the year 2015  to around 0.70
               lakhs in the year 2018;
         (iii)  number of OPD patients  visiting Dharam Marg has been increased
               from around 0.30 lakhs in the year 2015 to around 1.45 lakhs in the
               year 2018.

        5.3.2  Commencement of e-Hospitalization System in NDMC's Hospitals
        and Dispensaries not only brought transparency and improved utilization of
        available resources. Further, X-Ray Machine and CR system at Chest clinic,
        Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg have been installed.

        5.3.3  NDMC has started the following works during the year 2018-19,
        which will be completed in the year 2019-20:
          (i)  the work of providing CT / MRI facility under PPP modal has been
               awarded, and  the CT / MRI facility is likely to be  available to the
               public in  June,  2019. Even the common  man, who  is not a family
               member of any government employee, would be able to avail the CT
               as well as MRI facilities at Charak Palika Hospital round the clock on
               the prevailing CGHS Non-NABL/Non-NABH investigation rates;
