5.3.4.1 Strengthening of Charak Palika Hospital

5.3.4.1.1 Additional Block at Charak Palika Hospital
All civil and electrical works of the Additional Block at Charak Palika
Hospital have been completed and the work of Medical Gas Pipelines is going
on, which is likely to be completed by March, 2019. Pathology Laboratory has
already been shifted in the lower ground floor of this Additional Block, and is
functional. After commencement, Additional Block will further improve the
standards of the Charak Palika Hospital by enabling two state-of-the-art
operation theaters, post operation recovery unit and ICU unit.

5.3.4.1.2 Strengthening of Laboratory Services willbe undertaken for
inclusion of newer tests, which are not being performed currently, such as Vit
D assay, Procalcitonin levels, ProBNP, Amylase, Lipase, TSH, Free T3, Free
T4 levels, etc. through CLIA machine, which will be procured to further
strengthen the services provided to the public at Charak Palika Hospital. It is
also proposed to explore the possibility of setting up a division of
Microbiology in Charak Palika Hospital so that various cultures reports which
are at present being sent to private labs will be made available in our hospital.

5.3.4.1.3 Advance Eye Centre
It is proposed to upgrade the existing facilities at Charak Palika Hospital to
set-up an Advanced Eye Centre during the year 2019-20 wherein two new OT
tables, a retinal acuity meter and latest equipments will be procured to monitor
for retinal aspect of the eye, where many patients can avoid undergoing
unnecessary surgical interventions and can be screened for many diseases
which may be preventive in nature.

5.3.4.1.4 Advance Physiotherapy Centre
It is proposed to upgrade the existing facilities at Charak Palika Hospital to
set-up a state-of-the-art Advanced Physiotherapy Centre during the year 2019-
20 and to procure a new C-ARM to facilitate the care of the patients as lot of
patients will not need open surgery and can be treated with a radiological
evaluation.

5.3.4.1.5 AYUSH Center
With availability of space after commencement of Additional Block at Charak
Palika Hospital, it is proposed that during the year 2019-20, considering the
success of AYUSH (Ayurvedic, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and
