5.3.4.1.6 Allied Health Science/ Paramedical courses
NDMC is running full fledged Charak Palika Hospital with 156 bedded
capacity. It is the time to optimize such infrastructure not only for the purpose
of providing medical services to the patients, but also to establish the
education imparting establishments to provide quality education to the
students, which will not only help in improving the availability of trained
technical workers in the coming years, but will also provide services to the
public by offering such allied health science / paramedical courses to the
aspiring students. It is therefore proposed to undertake all necessary activities
during the year 2019-20 to start the following Allied Health Science/
Paramedical courses with Capacity and Reorganization and certification from
the concerned authorities:

(i) Certificate course in Laboratory Technique
(ii) Certificate course in Optician and Refractionist
(iii) Diploma in Dialysis Tech
(iv) Dental Hygienist

(v) Certificate course in X-Ray Technician
(vi) Medical Records Tech and/or Medical Transcript Writing

5.3.4.1.7 Further work of setting up of Pulmonary Function Test Laboratory
as the basic investigation for patients with chest disease, and Sleep Apnoea
Laboratory to conduct sleep study evaluation for metabolic diseases like
hypertension, diabetes mellitus and obesity etc. of the patients who are having
problem in breathing during sleep including apnoeic spells in the night, will be
taken up during the year 2019-20 after availability of space after
commencement of the Additional Block of Charak Palika Hospital.

5.3.4.2 AMRIT Pharmacy Stores
Considering the success of AMRIT Pharmacy Stores started at Charak Palika
Hospital during the year 2018-19 in providing costly medicines, including
anti-cancer medicine, and implants to general patients at very affordable
prices, it is proposed to start three AMRIT Pharmacy Stores at (i) Palika
Maternity Hospital, (ii) subway opposite to RML Hospital at Baba Kharak
