        5.4.1.5 NDMC has  taken  initiatives for better preparation for Swachh
        Survekshan 2019.  NDMC engaged QCI Consultants  for  carrying out gap
        analysis regarding SwachhSurvekshan 2019 parameters in NDMC Area and
        preparation of documentations for the SwachhSurvekshan.

        5.4.2  Open Defecation Free NDMC
        5.4.2.1NDMC  is also  the  first ULB  in NCT of Delhi to obtain the “Open
        Defecation Free” status since November, 2016.

        5.4.2.2 In addition to toilet facilities, about 86 Public Toilet Units have been
        upgraded in the year 2018-19 to  make them gender friendly, child friendly,
        and specially-abled friendly and these Public Toilet Units have been equipped
        with bathing facilities, have water and electricity, sanitary napkin vending
        machines, air freshener, hand dryer, tissue paper etc.

        5.4.2.3 NDMC has applied for the Open Defecation Free Plus Plus (ODF++)
        Certification recently, wherein focus is on achieving sanitation sustainability
        by addressing complete sanitation value chain,  including safe containment,
        processing, etc. and the result is awaited.


        5.4.3  Star Rating Protocol for Garbage Free City

        5.4.3.1 The Government of India launched an innovative star rating initiative
        for  attaining "Garbage Free India".  The Star Rating Protocol based on  12
        parameters which  follows a smart framework, inter-alia, including
        components such as cleanliness of drains, water bodies, plastic waste
        management, managing construction and demolition waste,  etc., which  are
        critical drivers for achieving garbage free cities.

        5.4.3.2 Under Start Rating Protocol, cities are to be rated as 1 star, 3 star, 5
        star and 7  star  cities. NDMC has applied  for 5 Star Rating (Single metric,
        Measurable, Achievable, Rigorous verification, Targeted towards outcomes),
