Roles & Responsibilities of EBR Department

  1. To take action against the unauthorized construction
  2. To stop the ongoing unauthorized construction work and issuance of stoppage order under section 248 of NDMC Act, 1994.
  3. To remove the unauthorized construction work and issuance of demolition order under section 247 ofNDMC Act, 1994.
  4. Sealing of unauthorized construction and issuance of sealing order under section 250 of NDMC Act, 1994.
  5. To pursue the case with NDMC counsel in Hon'ble courts - ATMCD. Patiala House, High Court and Supreme Court.
  6. To submit the reports to the Judicial Committee, Monitoring Committee etc
  7. Personal hearing usually given to owner/occupiers before taking actions
  8. Monthly report of all the actions are prepared and submitted for onward submission to Hon'ble LG office

Roles & Responsibilities of STC Cell

  1. To supervise the ongoing works taken place with prior permission of NDMC.
  2. To detect the deviations w.r.t. sanctioned building plans.
  3. To detect the violations w.r.t. Building-bye-laws.
  4. To monitor and controlling of dust emission from construction site.
  5. To impose penalty in violation of NGT guidelines.
  6. To stop the violation of sanctioned plan and issuance of order under section 249 of NDMC Act, 1994.
  7. To remove the unauthorized construction and issuance of demolition order under section 247 of NDMC Act, 1994.
  8. Sealing of unauthorized construction and issuance of sealing order under section 250 ofNDMC Act, 1994.
  9. To pursue the case with NDMC counsel in Hon’ble courts - ATMCD, Patiala House, High Court and Supreme Court.
  10. To submit the reports to the Judicial Committee, Monitoring Committee etc.
  11. Monthly report of all the actions are prepared and submitted for onward submission to Hon'ble LG office.
