AIM: - The Aim of Security Department is to safeguard the NDMC assets spread over the New Delhi region from theft/sabotage and pilferage. Security of NDMC Properties/Buildings.
OBJECTIVE: - Objective of this department is to Prepare plan to secure/assess the requirement and accordingly provide security services at NDMC Buildings/Properties.
Besides the above, department is providing security at its cash branches which is spread at various places in NDMC area with the help of Delhi Police, on payment basis during office hours. Department is also providing security services during programmes organized by NDMC, annual functions of Schools, Cultural functions in Parks/Gardens/NDMC area, V.V.I.P./V.I.P. visits during the NDMC Programme/functions. Proper coordination with Delhi Police and other organization associated with the interests of NDMC.
MISSION/VISION: - The mission of the Security Department is to ensure highest standards of security for safeguarding the interest of NDMC and its employees by providing efficient manpower and state of the art equipment at the buildings, premises, institutions, hospitals, schools, parks, etc., owned by NDMC. Endeavour is to prevent any incident of theft/sabotage to the NDMC assets spread over the entire New Delhi area. For the accomplishment of the ibid task the department ensure the employment/deployment of trained workforce to perform security duties. The department endeavors to work shoulder to shoulder with other departments of NDMC for discharge of various civic functions assigned to the charter of duties. The day to day challenges associated to the topography and the society are to be met with utmost care and diligence.
