Roles & Responsibilities

 The department has four distinct roles and responsibilities.

1. Design of NDMC Buildings, Road side development, Landscape etc.
2. Approval of Building Plans/Issuance of completion certificate to buildings in NDMC area.
3. Detection of misuse in premises through Misuse Cell & taking action as per NDMC Act / MCSC directions.
4. Taking action with respect to structural safety of the Buildings.
