Roles & Responsibilities

To identify, organize and conduct Training Programme for NDMC officials by nominating officials. After its inception, the training department has conducted training programmes and has taken the following steps in that direction.

(i) General Training of officers and staff common to all Departments.
(ii) Department specific training.

To extend arrival and departure facilities to foreign delegates at the Airports, visiting at the invitation of the Council, their custom and immigration clearance etc. To liaise with Ministry of External Affairs and other related departments for such VIPs visit.

For the training of staff common to all departments, the following topics :-

  1. For Group ‘A’ Officers-Financial  Management, Establishment matters IT Awareness, Vigilance, Stress Management, Communications & Negotiation skill, Team Building & Leadership, Pricing of Municipal Services, Tendering and Contracting, Finance for Non-Finance Executives.
  2. For Group ‘B’, ‘C’ & ‘D’ Employees These employees are provided training in Establishment matters, Office Procedure, Vigilance matters, Noting and Drafting, Computer Training, House Tax, Behavioral Skill and Time Management.
  3. Departments Specific Trainings-  The staff/officers of the level of Suptdg. Engineers, Asstt. Engineers may be provided programmes on Behavioral Training in Leadership and Team Building & Stress Management etc.

     Selection of Agencies to provide Training- NDMC has identified the following Institutions to provide trainings.

  1. Institute of Secretariat and Management Training (ISTM), New Delhi
  2. Union Territory Civil Services (UTCS) Training Institute, Delhi
  3. National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM), Faridabad, Haryana
  4. CPWD Training Institute.
  5. National Productivity Council
  6. Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC)
  7. Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA)
  8. DOPT
  9. Administrative Staff College of  India (ASCI)
  10. Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI)
