Responsibilities:-
No person should deposit any sort of Malba/ Building rubbish on Public Roads/ Streets except designated point.
No person should tether any animal on any Public Street/ Road.
Barricading provided by NDMC for repair of any road should not be removed by any citizen.
No person should damage any public Road/ Street/ Parks.
No building material should be stacked/ placed and No barricading, Scaffolding should be done by any person on Public Road/ Street.
All the Roads in the private premises should be leveled, paved with adequate drainage provision.
Improvement, up gradation and desalting of drainage system/ lines.

BRIEF ABOUT DEPARTMENT
Road Circle consists of Six Divisions such as R-I, R-II, R-III,R-IV, R-V & Connaught Place Division and main work are resurfacing , maintenance of roads/ streets/ back lanes/ colony roads. The main functions of the Store division is to procure various materials for consumption/usage for the requirement of maintenance and construction division, the items include Cement, Paint, Water Supply and Sanitary Fittings, Bitumen Aggregate and Emulsion, Timber, Pipe and Fittings, Building Material like Yamuna Sand, Coarse Sand, Red Bagri, Stone Aggregate etc. and further distributions to various departments of Civil Engineering of both Building Maintenance and Road Maintenance. The main theme of Store Division is as given below:-
a.To procure and issue the materials required for smooth working of NDMC for the public utilities.
b.To procure the material accordingly to the CPWD specifications.Improvement, Development, construction & beautification of Roads, Lanes, Street Furniture and Civil Work in Parks etc.

Besides the above activities, new projects like implementation of uninterrupted water supply, replacement of defective pipes/ valves etc. Sewerage Division deals with complaints as blockage of sewer over flow, requirements of additional sewer, STPs, ETPs etc. All the above functions are in addition to sanctioning of new water and/ or sewer connection

The Sewerage Project Division is assigned with the job to evaluate the existing sewerage system of entire NDMC area. The division had been carrying out the work of augmentation of sewer line and rehabilitation of existing sewers in various areas of NDMC and Waste water management/ treatment for reuse treated water for irrigation purpose by Horticulture Deptt. Construction of sewerage treatment plant of capacity 100 KLD to 500 KLD under PPP Project by using MBR Technology at Lodhi Garden, Nehru Park, Talkatora Park, Gole Market, Sanjay Lake Park, Moti Bagh, Park near Singapore Embassy, Rose Garden, Satya Sadan and 100 KLD STP at N.P. Bangali School, Gole Market by using Phytorid Technology.

BRIEF FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES OF DIVISION
Sewerage Maintenance Division is looking after the maintenance of sewerage system of the entire NDMC area. The sewerage system of NDMC area consists of about 300 kilometers of sewer lines of 150mm dia to 2100mm dia about 15,000 Nos. circular/rectangular manholes of various sizes and about 600 vent shafts for ventilation of sewers. Sewerage Control Room is located at XY-Block Sarojini Nagar for 24 hours attending of sewerage blockage complaints, etc. The cleaning of sewer lines, technical maintenance of the sewer lines and manholes, replacement of damaged sewer lines and manholes etc also lies within its responsibility. The complaints received on 311 App regarding de-choking of sewer lines / sewer stagnations are also attended by the Sewer Maintenance Division in the given time frame, providing sewer feasibility to residential / commercial units as and when sought along-with water connection shall also be the responsibility of Sewerage Maintenance Division. The mechanical assets, sewer pump house and service centers is also maintained by the Sewerage Maintenance Division.

Water Supply Division is responsible for distribution of potable water received from Delhi Jal Board which is collected into 27 UGRs located different places in NDMC Area. Boosting of water is done thorough these UGRs during morning & evening hours. Besides distribution through piped network in entire NDMC area. The prevention of leakage / contamination also lies in its responsibility. New water connection area also sanctioned on demand from public. During short supply in particular area the demand is met though water tankers wherein a 24 hours. The connection 7 disconnection of water meters is also done by Water Supply Division.
